Clear Data Settings

The “Clear Data Settings” section of the Woo Price Logger plugin allows you to manage and delete price history data. It’s important to understand that actions in this section, particularly deleting data, are irreversible. Exercise caution when using these options.

This section provides the following tools for managing price history data:

Delete Data Settings

Uninstall Data

  • Delete data when uninstalling the plugin: By checking this box, you instruct the plugin to delete all of its data from the WordPress database when the plugin is uninstalled. This option is useful if you are completely removing the plugin and all associated price history data.

Important Note: This action cannot be undone. Once the plugin is uninstalled with this option enabled, all plugin data will be permanently removed from the database.

Delete Data

This feature allows you to selectively delete price history data within a specified date range:

  • Start Date: Use the date picker to select the start date for the range of data you wish to delete. All price history data starting from this date (inclusive) will be considered for deletion.
  • End Date: Use the date picker to select the end date for the range of data you wish to delete. All price history data up to this date (inclusive) will be considered for deletion.

Important Note: This action cannot be undone. Make sure you have selected the correct date range before proceeding with the deletion.

Important Considerations

  • Data Deletion is Permanent: Be aware that all actions taken in this “Clear Data Settings” section are permanent and cannot be reversed. Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  • Date Range Accuracy: Double-check the start and end dates you select for data deletion to ensure you are only deleting the data you intend to remove.
  • Backup: It’s highly recommended that you perform a database backup before using the delete options in this section, especially if you have a large amount of price history data. This will ensure that you can restore your data in case of an error or an unintentional deletion.
  • Plugin Removal: The “Delete data when uninstalling the plugin” option should only be enabled when you are sure you want to remove the plugin and all its associated data permanently.
